Len Duckworth’s Fish and Chips has been a staple of Danforth Village since 1930. For the 83 years that Duckworth’s has been on the Danforth, you will always find it busy, even packed some nights. Visitors come from all over to have their famous fish and fresh cut fries. How did this famous restaurant come to be? Well in 1930 Edith and Jack Duckworth opened this business serving a speciality loved by their fellow mates in the United Kingdom. During the 1930’s there were a ton of fish and chip places in the area but, Duckworth’s has seemed to stay and become a part of Toronto History. What keeps customers coming back? It could be the fact that in all these years the recipe hasn’t changed at all and the price has only risen 10 cents…and that was in 1950! If you’re looking for good quality, fresh and absolutely delicious fish and chips we proudly suggest Len Duckworth’s Fish and Chips here in Danforth Village.
